“We had basically been told it would be difficult for us to conceive and were about to undergo some tests... and voila! ” | Pregnancy Interviews

Our customer Morgan Flagg wore our Navy Blue Floral Posy Maternity robe for her hospital pictures and shared them with us and also shared her pregnancy journey. Here is a small interview with her.

Is this your first time having a baby?

Yes, he is my first, and probably my only.

Can you share your most memorable and the most scariest moments during pregnancy?

Most memorable would be finding out I was pregnant, we had basically just been told it would be difficult for us to conceive and were about to undergo some tests... and voila!

One of the scariest was a hospitalization at about 4 months in, I had some heart palpitations and issues with a medication they had put me on. I had severe, severe "morning" sickness and had lost around 15lbs and struggled keeping anything (including water) down. They put me on a medication called Diclegis to help with the morning sickness. Come to found out, this medication can cause junctional tachycardia - I was rushed to the hospital with a resting heart rate of about 167. They let the meds ease out of my system and then all was well (except the morning sickness was back in full force). My sickness lasted until month 6 which was entirely awful. To be honest, I HATED pregnancy... but it was worth it!

What tips will you give to other moms and would-be moms?(Dietary tips, Exercise tips etc)

Do what you feel is best for YOU. Don't worry about what others will say or think. Every woman is so very unique and you know your body, your limits and your wishes. In a perfect world we would support one another and not judge and break others down. What works for one, won't work for another. For example, some people breast feeding comes easily, others have to work at it, and some can never do it. Don't rush to judgement if someone doesn't do what you do, as you wouldn't want them to judge you. All of us have the best intentions and want the best for our children!

What have you decided to name your baby?

His name is Alden Barrett (Alden was my grandfather and great grandfathers name on my Dad's side, and Barrett is my middle name, and a family name on my Mom's side).
