“Scariest moment would be when I slipped and fell at about 4 months of being pregnant.” | Pregnancy Interviews

Our customer Lauren Montoto wore our Navy Blue Silk Floral Posy Maternity robe for her hospital pictures and shared them with us and also shared her pregnancy journey. Here is a small interview with her.

Is this your first time having a baby?

No, this is my second baby.

Can you share your most memorable and the most scariest moments during pregnancy?

My most memorable moment during my pregnancy would be hearing the heartbeat for the first time. It's truly incredible and just the best feeling ever knowing you have life growing inside you. Scariest moment would be when I slipped and fell at about 4 months of being pregnant. I was at a restaurant and it was raining. As I stepped out to leave there were a few steps and on the Last step my foot slipped. I lost my balance and fell. I was terrified because shortly after I had mild contractions. I called the doctor and they told me to drink plenty of water and to go lay for the rest of the day. They told me to monitor contractions and if they got worse, to come in. Everything thank god was fine and there was no need to go in.

What tips will you give to other moms and would-be moms?(Dietary tips, Exercise tips etc)

Always make sure to try to sleep when baby sleeps. Otherwise you won't get much of it. If you can or would like to try to breastfeed, I encourage you to do it. The first three months especially. Not only is it good for baby, but it's good for momma too in many ways. You also lose weight as well in doing so. You may get frustrated or discouraged, but don't give up. There are many options to help you. There are lactation consultants, and if not you can always pump exclusively. Lastly, the first few weeks, even first two to three months are the toughest. You're trying to figure your baby out, and baby is trying to figure life out. It will be very challenging and frustrating. But I promise you, it does get easier and better and it's totally worth it!

What have you decided to name your baby?
